About
Katie is a registered psychologist with a strong interest in supporting adolescents and young adults to better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges. She has extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals (ADHD and ASD) in the assessment and intervention space and is passionate about creating a space where clients feel understood, respected and empowered. While Katie has previously worked extensively with children and adolescents, she is particularly passionate about expanding her support to young adults as they navigate important life transitions.
Katie’s areas of interest include anxiety disorders, depression, neurodiversity (ADHD and ASD) support and management, work and study related stress, and identity and body image concerns. She aims to provide therapy that is practical, meaningful and tailored to each person’s individual strengths, needs and goals.
Katie primarily utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and draws on a range of other evidence-based therapeutic approaches including mindfulness-based interventions. She tailors these approaches to suit each client’s unique experiences and identity.
Katie’s therapeutic style is modern, warm, supportive and collaborative. She is passionate about mental wellbeing and feels privileged to support people in developing insight, resilience and self-compassion, helping them move towards lives that feel authentic, fulfilling and personally meaningful.
